This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump separates the shaft from the circulating fluid to protect against corrosion and utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. The construction integrates flush seal line taps and standard pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and provides a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
