This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of ceramic and EPT materials rated for 125 PSI operation. The casing comprises integrally cast mounting feet and provides a center-line discharge configuration for positive air venting, while the internal components remain accessible for maintenance without disrupting existing piping connections.
This assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
