This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft construction, which protects the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluid through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal maintains fluid containment, utilizing a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. The casing is rated for 125 PSI operation and includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge monitoring.
The assembly is powered by a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and runs on 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
