This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 6-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a slip-on bronze shaft sleeve to prevent fluid contact with the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and Buna rubber, supporting temperatures up to 225 °F. The pump is configured with ANSI Class 125 flanges, flush seal line taps, and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for service without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge configuration assists with venting.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor. It features an ODP enclosure with a drip cover and is mounted on a JM style frame 184 with feet. The electrical configuration supports 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power with across-the-line starting. This unit includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA standards for 40 °C ambient temperature operation with CCW rotation. The PEI value for this pump is 0.89.
