This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 4" suction and 3" discharge connections. The pump uses an 11" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a tungsten carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, supporting operation in clean water temperatures up to 300°F. The unit is constructed with ANSI Class 125 flanges and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The pump is driven by a 20 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 256 T-frame, operating at 1750 RPM with a 230-460/60/3 power supply. This motor meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and features a Woods coupler with an OSHA-compliant guard. This configuration maintains a 40°C ambient temperature rating and achieves a DOE PEI of 0.92. The system supports across-the-line starting and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
