This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction connection and a 5" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump assembly consists of a cast iron casing, a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber components, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft.
This pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor in a NEMA 324T frame with an ODP enclosure. The electrical configuration is 230-460V/60Hz/3PH using across-the-line starting. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is mounted on a welded base with a drip pan and includes a Woods coupler and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The unit has a PEI value of 0.93.
