This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transport. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. This configuration maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. A mechanical seal comprising ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components seals the unit.
The pump utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH electricity, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
