This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. It integrates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly handles a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring and utilizes flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation, protecting the seal from particulate matter. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The unit utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
