This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve over a stainless steel shaft to prevent contact between the fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid flow within the unit. The pump operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
The motor is a 3 HP Premium Efficiency unit with an ODP enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-240V / 1PH, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
