This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, utilizing a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A mechanical seal is incorporated, consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections, and the pump incorporates flush seal line taps to allow the installation of an optional filter for protection against non-condensable particles.
This assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 575-600V / 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
