This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation at 250°F. Pressure tappings for gauges are located at the suction and discharge connections to monitor hydraulic performance.
The pump operates with a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
