This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components maintains hydraulic integrity. The casing supports operation at 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring.
Power is provided by a 25 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC, 1750 RPM motor with Aegis grounding, operating on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
