This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. This unit includes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT. The pump construction supports a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and allows for field maintenance without disturbing system piping. Gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on 200-230V 3PH power, providing a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
