This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For sealing performance, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This design maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring and allows for maintenance without disturbing system piping. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are integrated for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
