This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to manage fluid flow, with a dry shaft design engineered to prevent process fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly from wear, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to accommodate pressure limits of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet provide structural support, and gauge ports enable monitoring at the suction and discharge connections.
This assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and operating on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply to achieve a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
