This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally balanced bronze impeller. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft assembly. The pump uses a mechanical seal composed of ceramic and EPT, pressure-rated at 125 PSI. Pressure tappings for gauges are located at the suction and discharge connections, with a drain port situated at the bottom of the casing to facilitate maintenance.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
