This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller connected to a stainless steel shaft. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve assists in component longevity. The hydraulic assembly incorporates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Designed for pressures up to 125 PSI, the construction provides for center-line discharge and integral mounting feet to facilitate installation and system venting.
The pump assembly utilizes a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
