This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that incorporates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, preventing contact with the circulating fluid. It integrates a mechanical seal assembly consisting of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The pump allows for pressures up to 125 PSI and utilizes a center-line discharge for positive air venting. Pressure tappings for gauge ports occupy the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
