This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the pump shaft and features a rear pullout design for servicing without disturbing system piping. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the unit includes flush seal line taps. The top center line discharge configuration facilitates self-venting and simplifies piping layouts.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. It is configured with a 213 JM frame style including feet. The pump operates on a 230-460V, 3PH power supply using an across the line starting method. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA standards. The pump efficiency is rated with a PEI of 0.87 as per DOE standards.
