This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance and employs a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. Constructed with ceramic and EPT mechanical seal components, the pump handles system pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. The volute provides center-line discharge for positive air venting, while the bearing housing integrates permanently lubricated ball bearings designed for a long service life.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis shaft grounding and operates on a 208V, 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass and a main disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
