This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design, comprising a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the internal shaft. This construction ensures the pump remains serviceable without disturbing the system piping. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring purposes.
The 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
