This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction port and a 4" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and includes a bronze wear ring. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a stainless steel shaft, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It uses a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, which is rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 50 HP Baldor premium efficiency motor in a NEMA 324TS frame. The motor features an ODP enclosure and operates on 230-460V, 3PH power with across-the-line starting. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets MG1-12.55 standards. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, and greasable bearings. This model has a DOE PEI value of 0.93 and functions within a 40°C ambient temperature environment.
