This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to manage fluid movement within an industrial system. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, and it incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the rotating shaft components. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic and EPT materials ensures integrity during operation, with the casing rated for a pressure of 125 PSI. The design permits servicing of the internal components without disturbing the connected system piping.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and includes Aegis grounding for protection, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
