This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating without a wear ring. Center-line discharge construction on the volute allows for positive air venting, while integrally cast mounting feet provide structural stability for the assembly.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
