This end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate water transfer in cooling, heating, and pressure boosting systems. The construction comprises a dry shaft design that isolates the internal shaft from circulating fluids to mitigate corrosion. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly, while a ceramic seat with EPT rubber provides mechanical seal performance at pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump utilizes flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles in open systems. Suction and discharge pressure tappings are provided to allow for ongoing system monitoring during operation.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, a 200-230V 3PH power supply, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
