This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft. This configuration supports pressure ratings up to 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Pressure tappings are present at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding with a 208V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
