This end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet for positive air venting through a center-line discharge. The hydraulic assembly comprises a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and is connected to a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, the pump incorporates an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal. This configuration sustains a pressure rating of 125 PSI and facilitates service through a bearing housing equipped with permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The pump operates with a 1.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.52. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
