This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and bronze impeller to manage fluid transfer in cooling or water supply systems. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that isolates the pump shaft from circulating fluid. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber manages sealing duties, while the pump casing facilitates operation at a 125 PSI rating with an integrated wear ring. Flush seal line taps allow for the installation of external filters to protect the seal from non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections provide access for system monitoring.
Powered by a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the pump operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding for protection. The electrical system supports 380-460V, 3PH power input. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
