This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 3" suction, and a 2-1/2" discharge connection. The pump uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a rear pullout design and a top center line discharge. The mechanical seal consists of a tungsten carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 300°F clean water. The pump includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The internal dry shaft design eliminates contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is configured with a 5 HP Baldor motor. The motor uses an ODP enclosure in a 184 JM frame with feet and is rated for 230-460/60/3 power. It features across-the-line starting, AEGIS shaft grounding, and operates in a 40°C ambient environment. This configuration complies with NEMA standards and has a DOE PEI of 0.87.
