This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents fluid contact via a dry shaft design. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal isolates the internal components, while the assembly handles 125 PSI pressure and incorporates a replaceable bronze wear ring. The pump bearing housing utilizes permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings to accommodate maintenance without disturbing system piping.
Powered by a 2 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM, utilizes Aegis shaft grounding, and connects to a 200-230V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
