This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The unit uses a mechanical seal consisting of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump is configured for clean water applications and incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a 324 T-Frame. Electrical requirements are 230-460/60/3 with across-the-line starting. The motor meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded steel base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler. This pump has a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
