This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 3" suction port and a 2-1/2" discharge port. The pump casing is constructed from cast iron and houses a bronze impeller with a 6-1/4" nominal diameter. It includes a stainless steel shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The internal design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. The unit includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. This assembly is rated for temperatures up to 250°F and utilizes ANSI Class 125 flanges.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. It is configured for 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power and uses across-the-line starting. The motor is housed in a 184 JM frame with feet and includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. This pump assembly meets NEMA standard specifications and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.87. The design features a top center line discharge and a rear pullout configuration, allowing for service without disturbing the system piping.
