This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction, preventing the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly during operation, while the mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seating and EPT rubber. Engineered for a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI, the unit maintains system integrity without the use of a wear ring. The cast iron bearing housing supports sealed-for-life bearings to ensure consistent performance in various piping configurations.
The motor provides 30 HP with a premium efficiency rating and a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply. The assembly achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
