This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and a 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a cast iron casing. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and it is rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections, and the pump uses a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 324 frame. Power requirements are 230-460/60/3. This pump is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a standard Woods flexible coupler and features greasable bearings within the bearing frame. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards and MG1-12.55 specifications. This assembly includes AEGIS shaft grounding and maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.94.
