This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft while providing a surface for the mechanical seal, which incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. This assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The system utilizes a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 3450 RPM. This motor integrates Aegis shaft grounding and draws power from a 380-460V / 3PH supply, maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
