This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 5" suction connection and a 4" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. A replaceable, slip-on bronze shaft sleeve prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The design includes flush seal line taps, pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, and a rear pullout configuration that allows for servicing without disturbing system piping. The top center line discharge design facilitates self-venting.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a drip cover. It is configured in a 324 JM motor frame with mounting feet. The motor is rated for a 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. It includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring and is specified for a 40°C ambient environment with CCW rotation. The unit utilizes across-the-line starting and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
