This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a mechanical seal assembly comprised of ceramic and EPT materials. Engineered for system pressures up to 125 PSI, the volute integrates a centerline discharge for air venting and provides connections for suction and discharge gauges.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
