This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that eliminates fluid contact with the pump shaft to reduce corrosion. Fluid sealing is provided by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. The internal design supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This assembly utilizes flush seal line taps and includes pressure tappings on both suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The system utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 3450 RPM, includes Aegis grounding, and accepts a 575-600V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
