This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet. It utilizes a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve covering a stainless steel shaft, supported by the dry shaft design which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The assembly incorporates a ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber elements, rated for 250°F. This unit is engineered to support a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and utilizes a wear ring to maintain hydraulic performance. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis shaft grounding, and energized by 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
