This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate efficient fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that protects the internal pump shaft from contact with circulating fluid. Maintenance is supported by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This design accommodates system pressures up to 125 PSI and integrates flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation, which protects the seal from particles present in open systems.
The pump utilizes a 10 HP Premium Efficiency PMAC TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
