This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly handles operating pressures up to 125 PSI. Suction and discharge connections include standard pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH electrical input, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
