This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge for positive air venting. A bronze impeller attaches to a stainless steel shaft, which incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The pump utilizes a dry shaft mechanical seal design that prevents fluid contact with the shaft and supports a 125 PSI operating limit. Internal sealing components consist of EPT rubber and a ceramic seat. Service occurs without disturbing the system piping, and the assembly provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 125 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and possesses a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
