This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment. This pump configuration maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring and includes pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates with a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
