This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. A dry shaft design prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing an operational pressure rating of 125 PSI. This construction allows for servicing the mechanical components without disturbing the system piping.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding. The electrical configuration handles 380-460V / 3PH power, and the unit attains a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
