This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter. It is configured with a stainless steel shaft, a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, and a mechanical seal composed of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The unit includes 4" suction and 3" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. This pump is rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F and is suitable for clean water applications. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
This assembly operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a 324 T frame. The electrical configuration supports 230-460/60/3 power with an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by a standard guard. The design provides a DOE PEI value of 0.9.
