Since HVAC facilities are essential, employees investigated sanitizing and cleaning procedures as well as possible improvements to the existing boiler systems to stay fully operational. The CDC also started recommending increasing the introduction of outdoor air and decreasing indoor air circulation. This can be achieved by opening windows and allowing outdoor to flow into the facility or hiring an HVAC expert to create a system with operational flexibility; allowing the facility to switch between minimum outside air to all outside air as needed. These new measures were implemented to keep facilities operational.
