Businesses, industries, and people across the globe have fought to stay open while abiding by changing health and safety regulations due to COVID-19. These restrictions have brought on new questions regarding HVAC systems:

- How can we bring in more outside air?
- What are the humidity levels within our spaces?
- What level of air filtration do we need?
- We ran out of hot water. When will more be available?
Since HVAC facilities are essential, employees investigated sanitizing and cleaning procedures as well as possible improvements to the existing boiler systems to stay fully operational. The CDC also started recommending increasing the introduction of outdoor air and decreasing indoor air circulation. This can be achieved by opening windows and allowing outdoor to flow into the facility or hiring an HVAC expert to create a system with operational flexibility; allowing the facility to switch between minimum outside air to all outside air as needed. These new measures were implemented to keep facilities operational.
