Grundfos SQ Submersible Groundwater Pumps for Residential Wells, Domestic Water Supply, Irrigation, and Pressure Boosting
Grundfos SQ Submersible Groundwater Pumps are compact, multistage pumps designed for supplying groundwater from drilled wells and boreholes. With a slim 3-inch diameter, the SQ range is particularly well suited for residential wells, domestic water supply, irrigation, small water systems, and applications where reliable groundwater pumping is required in a compact installation.
The Grundfos SQ uses a multistage hydraulic design to provide the pressure needed to lift groundwater from a well and distribute it throughout the water system. Its narrow construction allows installation in boreholes as small as 3 inches, providing greater flexibility for new well installations and groundwater pump replacement projects.
A key advantage of the SQ range is its permanent magnet motor technology combined with integrated electronics. The pump incorporates soft-start functionality, helping reduce starting current and mechanical stress during startup. Built-in motor protection also helps protect the pump against operating conditions that could otherwise shorten equipment life.
Unlike the variable-speed Grundfos SQE, the SQ is primarily designed for conventional on/off operation. This makes it a practical choice for groundwater systems using traditional controls and tanks where constant-pressure variable-speed operation is not required. Its combination of compact size, integrated protection, and multistage performance makes the SQ a versatile solution for residential and light commercial groundwater applications.
