This Taco Suction Diffuser Rear Strainer Pullout (RSP) is a flanged, high-pressure device that effectively removes debris from the fluid stream before it reaches the pump. The suction diffuser operates by creating a low-velocity zone in the center of the diffuser that allows air and debris to be separated from the flow. The rear strainer pullout feature allows for easy maintenance and cleaning without requiring removal from the piping system. These Taco suction diffusers provide maximum flow efficiency at the pump's suction inlet while reducing space and fitting requirements. This eliminates the need for an equivalent length of ten pipe diameters of straight run on the pump's suction side.
This flow straightening device incorporates numerous features into one device, simplifying installations and reducing installation costs. They act as an elbow (and, in some cases, a reducing elbow) with a built-in strainer.
