Taco Suction Diffuser Rear Strainer Pullout, or RSP, units are designed to improve flow conditions at the suction side of a pump while helping simplify mechanical room piping. By combining a suction diffuser, flow straightening device, elbow, and built-in strainer into one component, the Taco RSP helps reduce fitting requirements, save space, and lower installation costs in commercial HVAC and hydronic pumping systems.

The Taco Suction Diffuser helps provide uniform flow into the pump suction inlet, which supports better pump efficiency and more stable operation. Its full-length straightening vane assembly reduces turbulence before the fluid enters the pump, while the oversized body cylinder helps minimize pressure drop.

For easier maintenance, the built-in strainer helps capture sediment and debris before it reaches the pump. The rear strainer pullout design allows service access, while the blow-down port supports routine removal of accumulated debris. A metering port is also included to help monitor system conditions during operation.

With flow ranges from 20 to 10,000 GPM, connection sizes from 1-1/2" to 16", and ANSI Class 125 or Class 250 flanged pressure ratings, Taco suction diffusers are suitable for a wide range of commercial heating, cooling, and water circulation applications.
