Grundfos DME Digital Dosing Pumps for High-Capacity Chemical Metering, Water Treatment, Industrial Process Water, and Chemical Feed Systems
Grundfos DME Digital Dosing Pumps are high-capacity diaphragm dosing pumps designed for accurate chemical metering in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial process water, cooling systems, and chemical processing applications. The DME range combines precise Digital Dosing™ technology with simple operation, making it well suited for applications requiring larger chemical dosing quantities without sacrificing accuracy or control.
A key advantage of the Grundfos DME range is its ability to handle substantially higher dosing capacities while maintaining precise adjustment. Grundfos lists DME pumps with capacities up to 940 l/h, with two primary high-capacity variants offering 375 l/h at 10 bar and 940 l/h at 4 bar.
The DME uses Digital Dosing™ technology with a turndown ratio of up to 1:800 while maintaining 100% stroke length. Instead of controlling capacity primarily by shortening the stroke, the pump adjusts dosing through its drive system. This provides accurate chemical feed across a wide operating range and helps simplify pump sizing when chemical demand varies significantly.
For challenging chemicals, the DME also provides an adjustable slow mode for dosing higher-viscosity liquids. Grundfos lists this capability for liquids with viscosity up to 3,000 mPa·s, helping expand the pump's usefulness in industrial chemical treatment and conditioning applications. Material configurations include options such as polypropylene (PP), PVDF, and stainless steel dosing heads with different gasket and valve-ball materials to support chemical compatibility requirements.
